[Bug 804175] Re: Crash on opening while typing

I just tried in the terminal. It seems to launch faster there, so I
can't reproduce the bug. Though, while running it prints out the
messages below and when I close it, it does not return to the command
line, . As can be seen, I interrupted it half way through.

I will try again after a reboot. I can still make it crash if I start it
normally from the launcher.

One think I forgot to write was that I have to start write not exactly
when launching, but when the window starts loading - that is, when the
frame is showing, but the content has not yet loaded. As said this takes
longer if not launched by the terminal.

I had someone else reproduce it too on his computer and the result was
the same.

Terminal printout:

Title:
  Crash on opening while typing

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
If I open software center and at the same time start typing, it either
freezes with a gray screen, with a processing circle or crashes. I was
expecting it to open with what I typed in the search field, but it
seems that the user has to wait a second before starting to type.
