Title:
  Floating Exception

Status in “hdparm” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Hi,

using hdparm -g for an lvm device causes a floating exception:

  # hdparm -g /dev/mapper/vg1-stick

  /dev/mapper/vg1-stick:
  Floating exception

Even if that does not make sense since lvm devices don't have a geometry, a program should never abort with a floating exception (and break a shell script doing some work with block devices).
