Title:
Accidental double click on update-notifier starts two instances (on
  vnc)

Status in “update-notifier” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-notifier

  Hello
I have experienced this many times: when the notification of updates appears on the taskbar/tray, I sometimes double-click it to open up the update manager (as in my experience, double clicking is the most frequent way of restoring windows minimized to the tray). It then starts two instances of update manager, which work in parallel, and one of them gives an error sooner or later, that files are locked etc. (obviously by the other instance).
This is not really a bug, maybe a cosmetic thing, but I think, the notifier should have something to prevent double clicking.

Ubuntu version affected: all, from 7.04 upwards
  DE: XFCE 4.4 & 4.6, Gnome *all*
