  Distribution 11.10 fail to install

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  When I run the update distribution (from 11.04 to 11.10):
  python /usr/share/pyshared/UpdateManager/DistUpgradeFetcherKDE.py
  At some point I got a message that unresolvable error has popped up and cannot continue.

  How can I help gathering more information on the case?
