Public bug reported:

Tried to install Ubuntu on my Asus Laptop.

Live-DVD is not booting except I disable ACPI, then trying to install
and while copying the files, I am getting an error with the notification
to post this error unter this URL (including "ubiquity", think that says
the error happens there?).

I could install Ubuntu weeks ago and boot it with many tries (e.g.
ACPI=off), now its neither booting nor installing.
