Title:
python-aptdaemon-gtk should offer a method to reconfigure already
  installed packages

Status in “aptdaemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: aptdaemon

glatzor had told me if there was any functionality missing from
python-aptdaemon's API that I would like to see, I should document it
  here.

I think it would be particularly useful if there was a way to request
a transaction to reconfigure a package. I know of a lot of instances
where running 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure PACKAGE' is very useful for some
of my purposes, so it would be great to stub this out through a GUI
  with python-aptdaemon-gtk
