Okay, so clearly the manpage is wrong. ;)
Your original report says that you were "trying to play a movie with mplayer"
when you got this crash. Can you describe exactly what you were doing to get
this error?
Also, can you try this:
$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall python3 python3.2
and let us know what happens?
