Well now the console appears but is too small to show messages. Of
course you can scroll it to view them but is not really helpful, isn't
it? It should be at least 2+ lines larger or the newline attached to
every echo will cover the message.
Thanks for replying to this "insignificant" bug anyway (:

Title:
ubiquity doesn't show console when clicking in detailed view
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “ubiquity” source package in Oneiric:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Steps followed (following test case http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Install/DesktopManual and others):
- Boot the liveCD and click on Install Ubuntu.
- Walk trough the configuration and start installation
- Click on the small triangle to show details.
What i'd expect: The window expand and show the console feedback of
ubiquity.
What happened: The window did not expand so the console is not
visible. The "Skip" button appeared next to the short description of
what's happening.
Also there is another minor feedback issue: If you go forward in the
timezone selection and the go back to the timezone selection, the
short description stuck at "Getting time from time server...". It
eventually unlocks, can't tell if it is really stuck at that action or
just the feedback stucks because of the above issue.
