I removed the cover from the usb disk and made it to an internal sata
disk. Installation worked out perfectly. USB RELATED ERRORS???

Yesterday i installed Ubuntu on an other usb disk resulting in the same
sdb errors. I'am still the only one having this kind of errors? Can this
somehow be related to HW or SW usb problems?

  New

Bug description:
  installation ubuntu 11.10 alpha 3 on an external usb disk
  this also happans on an internal disk installation
  Lenovo T500 laptop 

  The same problem also with ubuntu 10.10 alpha 2
