Title:
aptd crashed with SystemError: E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an
  error code (1)

Status in “aptdaemon” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I'm not sure where this should be reported. I ran Update-Manager and
the Xorg package doesn't install because it wants to replace a doc
file that already exists in the xserver package. I've installed
Oneiric 11.10 server with encryption on - but not for the home files,
that caused other problems. I have noticed update manager no longer
asks me for a password before it starts the download and update
process. This started a couple of days ago. If you would provide the
encrypt option in the desktop version I would try it on this machine
instead of the server version with ubuntu-desktop installed.
