Title:
The 'battery seems to be broken" message shows up whenever I run the
update-manager even though I have asked it never to report this error
  again

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

I have a battery that is at the end of its life in my laptop and hence
"your battery is broken" message used to appear. I disabled that
notification permanently by selecting "do not show this again". But
whenever I run the update-manager, the same warning message pops up
