The error message is this one:
dpkg: error: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 0:

 newline in field name
`../../../../../share/pyshared/ibus/interface/inotifications.py'

It looks like something corrupted the available file. It's unlikely to
be dpkg's fault. Run dpkg --clear-avail and retry, you should be fine.
