Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that there is a problem with your installation media (CD/DVD) or
with your hardware. Please retry your installation with new media and
if it still fails I'd recommend testing your CD drive with other media.
In the event that is is not in fact an error with your installation
media or hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and
good luck!

Title:
  Installer crashed

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

Installer for Ubuntu 11.04 (/usr/bin/ubiquity) reported a failure to
configure the CD player, then crashed with an error message telling me
to report this problem via this web site. My system is an Acer Aspire
One and does not have an internal CD drive; I installed from USB
drive. /var/log/syslog reported, device /dev/mmcblk0p1 not found in
  os-prober output.

I was then unable to mount SD cards so as to copy the syslog and
partman files to attach to this report. I was able to post them on my
  website, though: http://www.eilertech.com/syslog and
  http://www.eilertech.com/partman .
