I was installing the CD version of Mint 11. Everything seemed to go well until the end when it was updating the boot loader Grub. I saw the word Grub2 flash momentarily just before it crashed. I was able to try and install it manually, but it kept telling me that I
couldn't install onto Sba5. I have XP Pro as the original OS (I hope I still have it) and I had selected dual boot. I saw the drives NTFS, Ext4, and a linux swap. I chose the Ext4, but the software said it couldn't use that partition. I deleted it and tried again with a format of that partition, and same result. I will download the CD version again from another site. I don't have a DVD drive, so it has to be a CD.
** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
