Title:
Synaptic Package Manager not responding to status change

Status in “synaptic” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: synaptic

When I have an entry in the list "Not installed (residual config)" and I only mark that entry, the 'Apply'-button stays gray and no further action is possible. If I mark any other package for update or install AND the package for completely remove, Synaptics perform all the operations.
