This is not a duplicate of 652916 (which is a generic error)

Title:
11.04 Installer crash with value error in command: invalid literal for
int() with base 10: ''
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Been updating ubuntu for years, but I can't install 11.04. Athlon 64
X2,, nvidia 7600GS, installing amd64 off CD (bit torrent). Dual-boot
system with Windows XP, overwriting previous ubuntu partitions, per
usual "upgrade" procedure. Manual partitioning or automatic seems to
crash regardless.
First I get an installer error dialog, pretty far along in the
process, something about dpkg choking? I dismiss the dialog with
warning about possible failures downstream. A few minutes later I get
an "Installer crashed" dialog explaining that I should log this bug.
Again, no specifics, just a request to attach /var/log/syslog and
/var/log/partman. Figuring out how to get a browser wasn't easy
(System Settings > System Monitor > Help > Report A Problem).
"Installer crashed" dialog cannot be dismissed (via X or Close
button).
Attaching syslog, will try to attach partman separately?
