Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that there is a problem with your installation media (CD/DVD).
Please retry your installation with new media and if it still fails I'd
recommend testing your CD drive with other media. In the event that is
is not in fact an error with your installation media please set the
bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck!

Title:
  Kubuntu 10.04 Beta 1Installation Crashes

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

Kubuntu 10.04 Beta 1 Live Desktop CD i386

When installing from the Live CD, the installation crashes. This
occurs when selecting where to install. I have two hard drives
installed, and I select the second (slave) hard drive to completely
erase from the drop down menu. As soon as I select it the installer
crashes. This happens both in installing from a live session using the
icon on the desktop and not using the live session (the info below is
from the live session crash). The installation does not crash when
choosing the primary hard drive to completely erase.

Here's the info that was included:

  Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde_components/PartAuto.py", line 256, in on_extra_combo_changed
      e.setVisible(False)
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'setVisible'
