Title:
Oneiric A3: In "Check disc for defects", splash screen continues to
show progress indefinitely, even after disk check is complete.
Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After selecting "Check disc for defects", the splash screen appears
and begins scrolling through the progress dots. This will continue
forever, with no text being displayed.
If Esc is pressed, you can see that the disc check is being done in
the background. And indeed, if you press any key during the splash
screen (after giving sufficient time for the check to complete), the
progress dots will all light up (indicating the task is complete) and
the LiveCD will reboot as it should.
This bug is in both Ubuntu and Lubuntu Alpha 3 ISOs at least, 32-bit
on a 16 GB USB stick using usb-creator from Lubuntu Natty.
