Title:
Intrepid: import doesn't capture root window properly
Status in “imagemagick” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in “imagemagick” package in Debian:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: imagemagick
I have been using import from the imagemagick package for years. I
have recently reported a problem where I needed to capture all the
windows that were being displayed. In the past you'd run "import" and
click the cross-haired cursor on the root window. For some reason this
no longer works. Now when you do this it only captures the root-window
without any other open windows. I have included two graphic examples
of this problem. The first file called gimpRootWindow.jpg shows what
the entire desktop looks like that I was trying to capture.
importRootWindow.jpg shows only the root window that was captured when
I was trying to take a full screenshot.
