  Synaptic fails to close

Status in “synaptic” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Synaptic freezes when I try to close its window. Force quit doesn't do
  the job either I have to manually kill the process. When I run it
  without administrative privileges it closes fine. It never happened
  before todays update (apt history attached).
