Ubuntu better. This issue was reported while 11.04 was in the
development release stage. It would help us greatly if you could test
with the final 11.04 release of Ubuntu. Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

+ In a fresh installation of Ubuntu 11.04 certain inputs for the changing
the password from the administrative tools result in a premature
termination of the spawned "passwd" program that's forked to handle the
change.
It seems to trigger on certain input cases. It might be the case that
'passwd' is rejecting a change and the controlling script is failing to
handle the error condition.
