Hello there. Thanks for the report.
I'm not sure including environment names in app comments is appropriate.
In any case, app-install-data-ubuntu just collects what various packages
use for comments; please file this against Krita et al with "Also affect
project" if you're still interested in changing the comments.

Title:
KolourPain, Krita should have "KDE" somewhere in Comment
Status in “app-install-data-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
The problem:
In Ubuntu Software Center, KDE painting apps KolourPaint and Krita
make no mention of KDE in the GenericName (possibly the only
description seen by the user when installing), which can facilitate
installation of inappropriate applications in a vanilla Ubuntu
installation. For example, a friend of mine recently installed
KolourPaint when looking for a paint application and used up 100's of
MB installing KDE libraries in the process. (That's a large paint
application!)
The solution:
* GNU Paint has an excellent, informative comment: "A small-scale painting program for GNOME, the GNU Desktop".
* Krita has: "Edit and paint images", which does not differentiate it at all from other options. Instead, I suggest "Edit and paint images, part of the KDE Office Suite".
* KolourPaint is terrible, with just a GenericName of "Paint Program". I suggest, "A drawing and image editing program for KDE"
Note: perhaps this should be tasked against the application package,
I'm not sure exactly who is responsible for the Comment field.
