Fixed with app-install-data-ubuntu 0.11.10.2. The new extract script is
now retrieving better quality icons when possible (eg for neverball).

Bug description:
  /usr/share/app-install/icons/neverball.xpm us a low-quality target
  icon for some reason, when Neverball is installed it uses a high-
  quality icon
