Title:
install from usb memory to a partition on sda failed
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
installed i386 kubuntu 11.04 to 16 gbyte usb stick, booted computer,
configured some items, wireless, desktop options, etc., attempted to
install to sda7. Install was almost complete when it failed.
I expected the install to complete and allow me to reboot to the new install.
The install stopped with error before finishing.
Some details:
it is possible that the partition that I was installing to was previously mounted. I did manually select the partion, instead of allowing full automatic install. sda has a main partition with windows vista, a second partition with an old ubuntu install, a third partition with the attemted install. (sda7)
escription: Ubuntu natty (development branch)
Release: 11.04
