Title:
Ubuntu 11.04 installer crashes during Grub updation/installation stage
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
i had downloaded the image file of ubuntu 11.04 from your website (32
bit i386 desktop version) and burned the same to a blank cd using
infrarecorder. the same error came up quite a few times, but worked
once. since consecutive installations and uninstallations took up a
lot of hard disk space, i had to delete extra partitions and reinstall
once again, but went wrong once again, after apt config step where
grub update/installation takes place. the checksum check didnt find
any error with the iso file downloaded. i am able to use the desktop
but some features seem to be working unsatisfactorily like inability
in downloading mp3/mpeg2 codecs etc. Please help me solve this problem
