WORKAROUND:
=============
On W520 you can install using the yellow USB 2.0 port that is at the back side of the Lonovo ThinkPad.
Same USB key works perfect.

Installing with USB 2.0 device attached to an USB 3.0 port does not work
(does not have to be an USB 3.0 device).

Title:
Cannot install via USB device connected to USB 3.0 port

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
The Ubuntu Natty Desktop and the Ubuntu Natty Alternate Installation
CD does not seem to contain the XHCI_HCD kernel module.

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. use usb-creator-gtk to create a bootable usb device
  2. insert usb device in USB 3.0 port (blue ports on Lenovo W520)
  3. boot from USB device
  4. BIOS starts successfully, first Language questions are asked
  5. Ubuntu Installation CD complains that it fails to mount the 'CD ROM Drive'

As there is no xhci_hcd module included in the Installation mini
kernel, I guess it simply cannot access the USB device any more.

  Kind regards,
  Thorsten
