Title:
update manager error because outdated package

Status in Ayatana Design:
  Invalid
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Update manager couldn't update successfully because some packages
where updated, I had to click "check" to update the list and then
"install update" again. I would expect that the update should happen
automatically (maybe in case of error), or the error dialog box should
  recommend that procedure.
