You may be able to modify the rule concerned to call a script that does the same job as ifup, by manually calling ifconfig and the dhclient with the port number set. This is pure speculation on my part, I haven't tried this! Where can I change the dhclient behaviour? Under Feisty it was the -p 1068 Option in the nfs-script.
