If you have a username and password on that machine you might add username=xxx,password=yyy to the options above and see does it make a difference. -- of course....this is a public shared folder. it is in clarkconnect server, and i shared it as windows network and file sharing. the palce actually in /home/shared and previously i have sent the smb.conf of that server right ? no username, no password, no problem for windows users, but for linux....problem in using firefox, gimp ( so far that i found out ) previously.....i go to places - connect to server - windows shared - server : citserver - folder : shared but firefox and gimp can't save to this. i have added with username and password.....even i used "defaults" value and changed the gid and or uid still......the same thanks so much ~E~ </tt></pre> </div>  <div class="AOLPromoFooter"> <hr style="margin-top:10px;" /> More new features than ever.
