Hi there,
So I've finally got everything working ok in 7.10 and things run much more smoothly. I was able to convince the school to invest in gigabit switches and since the clients already had gigabit, things fly now... literally several seconds to login. But I've got an issue that I didn't notice until today. When the students try to put their memory sticks in, they don't show up. This is not an issue with partitioning, I've checked that, and I've been through the very thorough and well presented
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebugLocalDev
Everything seems to be fine... I can see the usb sticks locally, have ltspfs and ltspfsd running, fuse, the users are in that group, etc. The only thing that doesn't show up is the udev rules in fstab... according to the document

/dev/sda1 /var/run/drives/usbdisk-sda1 vfat defaults 0 0

Should show up inside the thin client when in a shell session (alt+cntrl+f1), but I don't see that. However, the partionining is done fine, as it shows up perfectly when sticking the usb stick in the server directly.

What else can I look at to get local devices to work?

Kind Regards,
David Van Assche
