them. Up to now you have only made exclamations.<BR><BR>For what it's worth I've almost never seen any version of Ubuntu hang on<BR>many different servers, desktops and laptops. I've certainly never had to<BR>reinstall it and I've been using it since the first version in 2004. I<BR>would be interested to try to understand why you have such bad experience<BR>if you have time to give us some details.<BR><BR>The meaning of dapper being more "stable" is not to say that it is<BR>noticeably less buggy, but that the release is supported for a long period,<BR>in order that people who would like to change nothing for 4-5 years can do<BR>so. If you're happy to use stuff from 06/2006 you can use dapper. Bear in<BR>mind though that some drivers which have come out since will only be<BR>available on the newer ubuntu versions and while bugs will be fixed, you<BR>won't easily get the latest versions of software like firefox and<BR>openoffice in dapper. AMD64 support is something that has
