LTSP Edubuntu 14.04, Berry Terminal - Gnome-session failed on connection

The LTSP packages are very out of date in (ed)ubuntu, try adding the 
Greek schools PPA.

add-apt-repository ppa:ts.sch.gr
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

in both the server and the chroot, and then run ltsp-update-image.

I've solved various login-related bugs in LTSP in the last few months, 
it's possible that what you're seeing is one of them.
