RPi thin clients

I think I saw an email here a while ago about using Raspberry Pi's as 
thin clients. Can anyone give me any hints as to how set this up.

I was also wondering if this would allow me to play individual audio on 
the thin clients and if people could plug in their USB sticks in the 
Pi's and see them in their session.

Any help and/or pointer are much appreciated.
