Hi Anthony,
I know this is an ltsp list but if you are going go spend $265 per
client then my advice is get real dual core systems (not atoms) with
2GB ram and use DRBL Diskless Remote Boot Linux. Everything is local.
You can use your existing Opteron server for all 3 classes. Just use a
raid 10 hardware card (Areca or 3ware) and have 3 GB nics ( one per
classroom) and 1 100Mbps nic to the wan.
