LTSP woes with Lucid Lynx

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your suggestion, did not mean to neglect your reply, but I am
receiving a digest hence a direct reply can be a little tricky ;-)

1. Both client and server need to be running Lucid [didn't know it was
possible to do anything else ...] Especially important as 8.04 will not
be supported for too much longer :) Server is now of course running
Lucid.

2. The Optiplex GX110 clients are a little old for the LiveDVD that I
have [they only have a CD player ...].

3. I am confident that DHCP and TFTP are working as expected, but not
confident that the clients can cope with 10.04 booting or with handling
the correct video mode etc.

I should add that I have TWO GX 110 clients. One simply blank screens;
the other displays a pink [yes, pink] splash screen forever without
progressing to the login screen. I think the second one has a slightly
later BIOS than the first ...

Cheers,
Andrew
