Xubuntu LTSP broken?

Hi all, recently our Xubuntu Hardy LTSP setup stopped allowing thin clients
to log in. They boot just fine, but at the log in screen the username and
passwords just do not work. Could this have something to do with the recent
Debian SSH vulnerability? Thanks for any help -joe
