You want to have multiple server setup as documented here:
http://doc.ubuntu.com/edubuntu/edubuntu/handbook/C/multiple-server-setup.html
Clients will get the boot image from one main server which also holds the user
setup and user homes. Cpu load is shared among secondary servers - effective
load balancing is included.
With 64 bit server and 32 bit clients install i386 chroot and image and don't
forget to point to the right image from dhcp. On 64 bit servers only the
amd64 client will be installed as default ltsp installation.
