noapic problem with thin client loading

Hi,
   I'm running Gutsy LTSP successfully on many computers, but I'm having an
odd problem, where one computer freezes when loading the pxe, and gets stuck
just after initrd.img is loaded. I was advised to put noapic and noiapic in
the /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default file after the kernel
line. This took away the 8254 iapic timer bug message, but the computer
freezes with no option to even restart (contrl+alt+del does not work) I have
to hard reset by holding down the power button. This computer is a turion
x64. Has this got something to do with the kernel version being loaded? Any
ideas?
