I have used Edubuntu first, I just didn't want all the extra stuff
like X always starting on the server, when I do not need it running on
it

Yes both have static IP's as they are both connected to two different
internal subnets. My AP/Router is connected to my modem which actually
gives me a static IP address, but I let the router connect to the
internet.

Actually both my server and router are serving DHCP to the different
networks, and that works fine. As the two subnets aren't connect
except at the server

Thanks,

Tom
