New to Edubuntu, install trouble

Hi, in our classroom last year, we had used Fedora 5 on all our computers.
We have slower equipment and I found things slow and hard to manage in this
Linux distribution. I am a newbee to Linux.

This year, I was excited to find Edubuntu and its manageability in the
classroom with the server setup. I have been searching for a solution for
finishing installation on 5 of our computers, which are all Dell OPTIPLEX
150 WITH 512MB. All of them receive an error on installing: /bin/sh  can't
access tty job control off  initramfs
I've used 7.04 and tried live cd of ubuntu, get the same error. I updated
the bios and the chipset and still no luck.

Please help!  I really want to use Edubuntu and this is half of the
computers we have.
