I have had the same problem with my new server, try to log out and it hangs with the
logout icons and I have to restart X to get back in. My server install is Edubuntu 7.04
64-bit with the most current updates. I can log into LTSP clients just fine (no chroot
updates) but have the trouble on the server. I tried the suggestion of disabling system
sounds and now it works perfect. The server does not have a sound card if that matters
at all. Hope this helps track down the bug.
