Hi everyone,
I wanted to let people know that we've recently released our podcasting
device software under the GPL. You download the CDROM ISO from our site,
and then you can use this Linux installer to convert any PC into a dedicated
podcasting device. It is based on Dapper and is GPL software; use it in any
way you'd like. I'm posting to this list because we have been selling this
as a hardware device to colleges and universities for the last two years and
recently made the choice to open source it completely. We offer a solution
that is accessible to any operator (meaning even technology challenged
college instructors) without technical training. To start capture, you
insert a USB thumbdrive; when you are done, remove your key and the system
publishes the MP3 automatically to a hosting server.
Thanks,
Chris
