LONG delay after hitting System > Quit button

Hi,

I'm getting long delays when trying to log off from the System > Quit 
button. I'm talking 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

This problem only seems to exist with AD-authenticated (winbind/nsswitch) 
users, not local users (files/nsswitch).

Gutsy 7.10 Edubuntu.

Any ideas what might be wrong?
