Well, there a couple of ways for 'drag and drop', and the depend on the
protocol you use (i.e. NFS, SAMBA, etc). At least with Edubuntu, this is
even simpler in the LTSP mode because ALL users from clients are
actually accessing a 'central server' (the one they boot from).

Else, if each client boots as standalone mode, and if they use GNOME,
users can drag'n drop files and folders from one location to another, as
long as the privileges setting allow it (NFS is good at this).

Well, I have always set CUPS from localhost:631 only, after adding a
'cupsys' to 'shadow' group (IIRC). Then you get to a nice 'web'like
interface at which you can set a printer to use 'iip' protocol, which
will let users to see that printer from their 'Print...' menu option, at
any application.
