Installed Edubuntu, but...

To All,
I am a very new user of Ubuntu and I wanted to try Edubuntu as I am a 
teacher to see if I could use it in my classroom. I downloaded what I 
thought were the repositories for Edubuntu Desktop, etc, but I cannot 
work out  a way of using it on a new desktop. When I installed Kubuntu 
it all happened automatically and was listed in my login page.
Any clues?
