Sabayon!

Well, I thought I'd try sabayon and send some feedback even though my
system's a bit challenged at the moment. Here's my experience:

1. I updated this morning to sabayon 2.27.91-Obuntu2
2. Start sabayon from menu.
3. Click on the user I've already started, system-admin
4. Window opens up (saying at top: Editing profile system-admin. A dialog
box opens up in the window saying: "ISD-server error The ISD-server could
not be started because port 5800 is already in use. Please make sure that
no other application is using this port and try again." I click OK. I've
seen this since using Hardy--related to italc, I think.
5. I remove Evolution mail icon from top panel.
6. I go to Profile menu and select save and...
7. ... the profile is saved!
8. I select, Profile, quit and it quits. I then reopen the profile...
9. I again get the ISD-server error and click OK.
10. Hmmm... now there are no panels--I could have sworn there was another
one up there that I'd left...
11. I add a panel (the dictionary) and try it out--works.
12. I save it and quit editing the profile.
13. I reopen the system-admin profile and sure enough, the panel I'd just
put is gone.
14. I quit editing the profile and quit sabayon and get the message:
"Sabayon will now exit. There were some recoverable errors..."

Here are some copies from my log viewer:

log (messages):

And from auth.log:

`/tmp/sabayon-temp-home-WSiW9l' to `'

Aug 19 07:45:00 gcos2 usermod[18743]: change user `sabayon-admin' shell from
`/bin/bash' to `/sbin/nologin'

And attached are the sabayon logs

What other tests would be most beneficial?

THIS IS AWESOME! Thanks Scott!
thanks,
David

This configuration for the debug log can be re-created
by putting the following in /root/sabayon-debug-log.conf
(use ';' to separate domain names):

[debug log]
max lines = 1000
