Could you give us a little more information:

1. Are you using the edubuntu text-based installer or the live cd?
2. Are you installing a server or a desktop or is this error from a thin
   client?
3. What exactly is happening at the point you get the error?  Are you in
   the start, middle or end of the install process or is it finished
   installing?
4. What sort of machine are you installing onto (cpu,ram,disk space,model)?
