/bin/sh can-t access tty; job control turned off

Correct, it happens just before mounting nfs. The conf you are refering to,
is it the dhcpd.conf or lts.conf by any chance?

The thing that troubles me, is that it is random. Any machine at any given
time(mostly the majority), gives this problem?
