how to make boot disk?

Hi, 

I have a totally empty computer ( compaq Evo 400c), and I want to 
install edubuntu on it.

I burned the .iso file I downloaded, but the computer does not recognize 
it as a boot disk. (I've changed the BIOS settings, but that does not 
help)

How can I get a boot disk for edubuntu?
