Hi there, Gary.
Well, Edubunut is a very nice derivative of Ubuntu. Actually, you may
say Edubuntu is Ubuntu + LTSP + tons of edu applications + artwork
oriented towards students + targeting school labs users (students and
teachers).
Having said that, if you happen to need Edubuntu in Spanish, you'll need
to install the lang-support needed by Gnome (Gnome is default desktop...
once again, it's ubuntu :) ) and the applications run by Edubuntu
server/station. It's just like any other time you've used Ubuntu in
Spanish.
Now, the good news (hope!) is that after MUCH effort and discussion, it
seems that finally, some of the people helping me carrying out an event
in Chile, on June 1st and 2nd, will help me work on a Edubuntu Chilean
version, which means, we'll release same Edubuntu work BUT changing
defaults to Spanish and Chilean artwork. That of course means, you'll be
able to download Edubuntu ISO for spanish speakers.
Obviously, the big idea is to seduce spanish/latinamerican people to
unite and work closer to supporting easy customization for each country.
Well, but we'll only start working on this customization since end of
June 2006.
